PC: All Day Chic

A perfect design for your Cupcake Day celebration! These will be hard to resist…

Used.ca is a proud sponsor of National Cupcake Day in support of SPCAs and Humane Societies. It is a win-win! Sweet treats for you and much needed funds for our furry (and not so furry) animal friends.

Over at Used.ca, they are dedicated to supporting the SPCA. They banned the sale of pets on their site in 2015. Each year, they raise awareness for the SPCA and participate in National Cupcake Day! Last year, their small staff hosted a cupcake sale and raised over $200 for their local SPCA. And they are already planning to make this year’s sale bigger and better!

It is a fun and easy way to raise money. Check out our Cupcake Day tips on how to host your own cupcake sale. Plus, Used.ca has a few ways to help you participate while saving a little money while baking your treats. Then you have money left in your pocket to buy some!

    1.     Save money preparing your batter and frosting.
On Used.ca city sites, you can find everything from mixing bowls to stand mixers to spoons! There is no need to spend hundreds of dollars on fancy new mixers when you can find top-of-the-line quality for second-hand prices.

    2.     Bake quality treats with the right tools.
I don’t know about you, but I like to have multiple cupcake tins so I can prep one batch while baking one. It saves you time and you can get used tins for a fraction of the cost. You can find great deals on the big ticket items as well. I am currently searching for a new stove (because mine just steams everything in the oven!). And once I find my replacement, I will sell my old one on own site! And how about getting the kids involved! Easy bake ovens were a favourite when I was little. I would bake my little cakes alongside my mom while she baked in her grown-up stove.

    3.     The prettier the cupcakes, the faster they sell!
Don’t forget to make your treats look attractive! People are more willing to open their wallets for gorgeous cakes. We want to raise as much money as we can, so try some cupcake toppers to dress up your cupcakes. On February 26, display all of your cupcakes on pretty trays or stands to make your confections stand out.

Whether you like chocolate or vanilla frosting, you are sure to delight your friends and co-workers with your cupcakes! And the best part (aside from eating cake!) is supporting your SPCA
